Halloween in Antarctica...Wait it's Indiana

Today, despite the freezing cold snow, was a great day! Wyatt really enjoyed grandma'so birthday, and the 3457477 suckers he stole from the trick or treat baskets mom had out. Andy was the rock star dad who took Wyatt and Jayson out in the artic weather that forced me to bail after walking down the driveway. I stayed home with mom and Emmett, after all we both are getting over a virus so we had to stay in the warm house and I had to eat a little bit more food to keep my strength...

I ate entirely too much, an issue I have at my mom's house. That woman can cook and boy does she go all out. We had so much yummy food that I might have to only eat lettuce for a month to undo my gorging! Top dinner, and second dinner,  off with birthday cake, and yeah, I am stuffed to the gills even now at 1:30am -but I might have room for one of the cookies, wrapped in lettuce of course!

Wyatt had so much fun he wanted to stay at grandma and grandpa's house and attempted to make himself a bed on the floor when we were leaving.  First he wanted the green pillow, but that wouldn't quite do, then he opted for the blue pillow, and the Afghan. He also told daddy that he didn't have to pick up the trash he dropped because "grandma do it."  We need to work on that one!

Poor Emmett had his usual tummy troubles, but before that Isaiah held him and he was thrilled to be in his arms. He also enjoyed grandpa's lap, and smiling at grandma. My mom has the magic touch with him when his tummy acts up, I don't know how or why, but she's got the gift.  We're lucky that even though he's still mommy's buddy, he's more open to snuggling with others unlike Wy who was all about mommy and only mommy until, well he's better now. Emmett's smile is the best thing in the world, just like Wyatt's laugh. I heard and saw those a lot today! It always amazes me.

 We hope everyone's Halloween was great, ours was full of spook-tacular fun!

P.S. ... I'd go down for that "lettuce wrapped" cookie, but it is all the way down in the kitchen, and well, I might wake up the boys if I get up. No I'm not lazy, I'm a good mom who's thinking about the well being of her kids ;
