Trains, Photos, and the Elderly

I am so happy that we have the life we do! These last few days we really had a chance to do so much! We rode the Santa Train, pure bliss for Wyatt, took photos with the very talented Sheri Romine Rouse of Rouse Photography, saw Santa,  and delivered to the elderly on a route for Homebound Meals, a local Meals on Wheels program.

We have volunteered for for a few months now and Wyatt has been indifferent until today.  We always discussed why we do this, but up until this week Wy guy did not seem to care. Today however, he asked me if he could help. I said sure, and let him hand the clients their cold foods while I took the hot. It took longer, but both Wyatt and the elderly people beamed with joy at his arrival! I love that he suggested that he help, I have never suggested anything to him, wanting to teach him compassion on his own, one of the reasons why we do it, and he has taken to it! He is such a great kid! I know I am bragging here, but wow! He was upset when we were done because he was afraid that we did not feed everyone who needed it. My amazing two year old felt that! After a few houses he took over and now I don't think I can ever stop delivering! Lol

Originally I planned on posting more about the train, the holiday party we went to last week (that I will post photos later,) and other things, but I am one proud, and bragging mom that I had to share!
Silly face Wy

Sheri Romine Rouse has a great talent and we are blessed to know her

The steam engine Wy guy kissed, we still are surprised he did that

Can you see the bliss?

He was beyond happy and didn't mind the waiting
